How does the Design Process work?

See the very common question, "What happens now, where do we go from here?" outlined step by step below


 

A

On-Site Meet

Prior to meeting, Building Designer Fabio conducts a thorough investigation into the property and into any specifications or requirements for your specific site. A face-to-face meeting is then held on site to create a visual map of the property and to briefly discuss your desires for the project.

In-House Consultation

A detailed meeting is then scheduled at our Moonee Ponds office to further discuss in detail your dreams and desires for your project. At this point all project requirements including build specifications, building structures and necessary documentation required is discussed in detail.

Fee Proposal

After confirmation of all details, a fee proposal is collated. Inclusive of costings and descriptions for each stage of the Building Design process.

Preliminary Concept Plans

At this point Fabio prepares a set of Preliminary Concept Sketch Plans as initial confirmation of project specifications. Once complete, the client is issued these plans and at this point details any desired enhancements or adjustments.

Budget Confirmation

Once confirmation of Concept Plans has been given, Fabio proceeds with discussing the project with various quality Builders in order to attain preliminary quotes for the build itself. This initiative is so  Fabio can further reassure the client that the proposed plans will fall within their Build budget.

Complete Construction Drawings

At this stage, once given the final go ahead confirmation from the client, Fabio engages with all the relevant parties, including the Council, Building Surveyor and Engineer. With all the relevant information, a full set of Construction Drawings are designed.

Build

The last step in the process is officially signing off on the Final Stamped Drawings ready for construction. At this point, and if the clients give approval, Fabio begins initial contact with the Builders to discuss the project in more detail.
